COMMEMORATIVE EVENT

 

"El Proyecto Genoma Humano: 25 años después" is a commemorative event marking the scientific milestone that has transformed science and medicine worldwide.

 

The event will take place on 10 February 2026 in the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. It will feature a round table with experts reflecting on 25 years of the Human Genome Project and its impact on human health, biodiversity, and the AI challenges that lie ahead.
 
The gathering provides a unique opportunity to revisit the impact of the Human Genome Project, to highlight the rapid progress of genomic science in Spain, and to emphasise the country’s leadership role in Europe, as well as the new technologies that are currently transforming biomedicine and improving people’s health.
